Many, perhaps most, of us have experienced sexual harassment. As part of the great lifting the lid on generations of silence and complicity, edited versions of these are now being screened on American TV as public service announcements. Watch them. But be warned, It’s uncomfortable viewing.
For those who want some tips on how we empower our daughters to say ‘no’, The New York Times asked five experts – two harassment prevention trainers, a civil rights activist, a lawyer and a professor – to offer their advice on what victims and bystanders could do when faced with a situation like that depicted in The CoWorker (pictured above).
